Meet Olusegun Gabriel Fawole

I am an Environmental Scientist with expertise in air pollution and climatic impact of aerosol. Using a combination of in-situ, ground-based remote sensing and satellite data, I study atmospheric aerosol and meteorology on local and regional scales. I am also involved in assessing and quantifying air quality in urban areas and megacities, especially in developing economies where the problem of air pollution is becoming rather intractable.

At present, I am involved in a study to assess and improve our understanding of the trend in aerosol and warming over northern Europe (TAWE) during a period of four decades. This study also includes quantifying the impact of aerosols on radiation in the atmosphere in the region.

Atmospheric Science

The life cycle and impact of tiny atmospheric particles known as aerosols – both indoors as well as outdoors.
