Research interests
With the mobility grant Rubicon (from the Dutch Research Council – NWO) I am striving for a green chemical movement in rivers using an interdisciplinary approach by linking ecology and ecotoxicology. Focused on European rivers I want to establish to what degree and which synthetic chemicals are causing biodiversity loss. The ambition is to strengthen the bridge between scientific evidence and water management policies to help create a toxic-free environment.
