I was an undergraduate student at the Department of Analytical Chemistry at Stockholm University from 1995 until 2000. From January 2001 until December 2005 I was employed at Gyros AB in Uppsala, a biotechnology firm developing a new technological platform for biochemical and diagnostic analysis (www.gyros.com).
My present position at the Department of Analytical Chemistry started in March 2006. I am currently involved in research in three different areas: characterization of post-translational modifications in protein pharmaceuticals, the determination of pharmaceuticals in ecotoxicological experiments and the generation and characterization of surfaces for laser-desorption as a means of introducing molecules into the mass spectrometer. A brief description of each research topic is given below.
-Trace level determination of small molecules in biological matrixes.
-Miniaturized analysis systems for the characterization and analysis of biologically active compounds
