I’m a postdoctoral researcher in environmental chemistry and my research focuses on contaminated sediment and the reloading of contaminant in the water column. My work sets out to study environmental factors and sediment parameters that can favor hydrophobic organic contaminant mobility and then increase their bioavailability and bioaccumulation potentials.
I’m using passive samplers to measure the freely dissolved concentration of contaminant and evaluate the toxic impact associated. The results generated will bring new knowledge and tool for risk assessment of contaminated sediments.
