At Zeppelin Observatory (78°54’29”N 11°52’53”E, 475 m.a.s.l.) we study aerosol and cloud properties to understand their life cycle, interactions and influence of both, natural and anthropogenic sources on the Arctic troposphere and rapidly changing climate in this highly sensitive region. Our observations of aerosol size distribution, light scattering and absorption represent one of the longest time series from the Arctic available.
