Associate Professor Ilona Riipinen was one of the 10 young scientists to receive the Early Career Scientist Award by the International Union for Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) during their 25th General Assembly in Prague last week.

” I’m proud for this recognition from IUGG, which is a professional organization whose traditions reach almost hundred years back in time. I am grateful for my wonderful colleagues at ACES and the Bolin Centre for Climate Research, as well as my mentors and collaborators outside Stockholm University. Their support has been crucial throughout my scientific career. I hope that I can continue to serve the scientific community in the fields of geoscience and the environment in the future,” says Ilona Riipinen.
