Between August 2013 and March 2014 the sampling team went out in Stockholm-Uppsala region. In total, 17 families with cats and kids below 10 years of age were visited. Most families had more than one cat, and therefore we got cat serum from 28 cats. During the visit, dust was sampled using a collecting filter insert on common household vacuum cleaner. Dust was collected from three rooms, the living room, the child’s room and the adults bedroom.
All families filled in a questionnaire regarding housing and family conditions. This metadata will be evaluated together with the final chemical analysis when everything is available.
