It is very likely, based on experimental results and modelling, that nutrient shortage will limi the effect of rising atmospheric CO2 on future land carbon sinks (IPCC AR5). While there is high confidence that nitrogen will limit carbon shortage on land, the role of phosphorus is more uncertain. Daniel S. Coll will present his work which aims at shedding light upon the role of phosphorus for land carbon storage.
