Course description

The course deals with different environmental systems that can be described with the laws of thermodynamics and transport phenomena. You will study phase transitions in the atmosphere, thermodynamics, transport of momentum, mass and heat, and how the theories of transport phenomena can be applied to different environmental systems.

Special eligibility requirements

The admission requirements are Classical physics 30 HEC (FK3014), Mathematics for natural sciences I and II 30 HEC (MM5001 and MM5002), Programming, numerical methods and statistics for physicists 15 HEC, Mathematical Analysis III and IV, or equivalent.
