We study how chemicals enter the environment, how they are transported, where they accumulate, and how they are removed from the environment. An important facet of the work is identifying new environmental contaminants. Our toolkit includes advanced methods for chemical analysis, laboratory experimentation, field monitoring and mathematical modeling.

ACES is part of the SECTION FOR EARTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES at Stockholm University, which covers a wide range of research into the Earth’s formation, climate and the environment.
