Are you a student in another country thinking about coming to Sweden?

Whether you come here on your own or as an ERASMUS exchange student, we are pleased to welcome you to Stockholm University. All our advanced courses are given in English. Together with the International Office at the university we will provide assistance with formalities as well as practical matters. And you will not feel alone – at the department we currently have students from all over the world.

ERASMUS Programme

If you are a European university student it is very likely that you may take advantage of the Erasmus Programme for higher education. The programme makes it very easy for students to study abroad for a limited period (usually up to one year).

Tuition Fees

For students from countries within the EU, the EEA and Switzerland the courses are free of charge, there are no tuition fees. Applicants from countries OUTSIDE the EU, the EEA and Switzerland are required to pay both an application fee and tuition fees. The tuition fee per academic year for studies within the Natural Sciences is approximately €17,500.

All applications to ACES programmes and courses are to be made through the National Agency for Higher Education web-page www.universityadmissions.se. Go to Application procedures for application dates.

To be admitted to programmes and courses given in English, upper secondary school course English B (Swedish schools) or equivalent is required or one of the following tests:

IELTS: 6.5 (with no part of the test below 5.5)

TOEFL (paper based): 575

TOEFL (internet based): 90

Cambridge/Oxford – Advanced or Proficiency level
